We are honored the have the 11 series concluded by guest Pastor Doug Bursch on this Palm Sunday. Our other "withnesses" will in one way or another let us down. There is one though who will never let us down and will always be there to remind us of His promises and comfort our wounded hearts- the Paraclete or "comforter". Rich and Poor: Just as Lydia financed the ministry of Jesus we each need someone who is sponsoring our vision and providing for the fulfillment of God's call on our lives. In Luke 16:19-31 we see the biblical counterpart of Lydia in Jesus' parable about the poor man Lazarus. We must not be like the rich man in this parable who never gave a second thought about Lazarus while on this earth. 03.22.2009

Just as this little servant girl had to point out the answered prayer of Peter's freedom to the adults in the room so Jesus calls all of us to learn the keys to the Kingdom from the children around us. We cannot take these little "withnesses" for granted. 03.15.2009
