This week we are joined by special guest speaker Pastor Trevor Drinen.  Trevor shares a bit of his story and how God has called him to risk by moving from the Hawaiian Islands to be closer to his extended family.  He brings a fresh look at "a man after God's own heart", David, and shows him to have as many different labels as we do.  We see that before we can even get to the risk of an invitation to community, that we must first risk transparency and compassion; that we must love God and love ourselves before we can love others. 10.12.2008

We finish our look into what it means to be “Four Square” and embrace one of the most motivating attributes of Christ; as our Soon and Coming King.  We’ve been hearing “He is coming back soon” since the formation of the church, so how do we deal with the cynicism and the “eh, we’ve got more time” attitude we so easily adopt?  What is the value in sitting daily at our Lord’s feet and how do we actually see our Lord?  Looking at the book of Revelation, we see a more decisively passionate depiction of Christ toward His people and against the enemy than what we may typically hold.  09.28.2008
