Thu, 3 January 2008 ![]() We close out this series on Heroes of the Faith with a look at resolutions and a prayer that Paul prayed over the church which serves to refocus, renew, and reunite. We embrace this prayer as our own and pray it for those around us, our family, our community, our country. We look at stepping into the new year with a "full lamp" and in order for that to happen, we realize we need to empty out some stuff that's "in the freezer" to make room. In addition to many other examples in the Bible, we see in 1 Cor. 15: 57-58 that nothing we do with Christ is a waste of time. 12.30.07 (video iPod friendly) Comments[0] |
Thu, 3 January 2008 ![]() Pastor Jon Burgess returns from his Manila mission trip with new perspective on the greatest gift we can be given, the opportunity to give! "I’m too old, too young, too tired, too scared, too inexperienced, too full of sin, too prideful, etc." We all have a million excuses of why God can’t use us, but the Christmas story is proof that a hero is made, not born. What God was doing was making heroes and birthing miracles and doing the impossible right before our eyes! Now that’s worth celebrating. 12.23.07 (video iPod friendly)

Thu, 3 January 2008 ![]() This message brought to you by Pastor Albert Moore emphasizes the importance of discipling the next generation - youth of today. What are you investing in? Is it something that will last and stand the test of time? We look at the pastoral letters from Paul to Timothy as a heathly model on how to disciple and invest in those who follow you. We see that Paul's model contains 4 Life Stages of Disclipship: Engaging, Equipping, Encouraging, Entrusting. Join us as we dive into mapping this model onto our own lives, bridging the generational gap and passing on truth. 12.16.07 (video iPod friendly) Comments[0] |
