Have you ever thought of Christianity as an EPIC story in which you have a vital and leading role?  In this 3rd installation of The Awakening series, we look at God's EPIC story and our role in it, both at a Macro and Micro level.  An EPIC has been defined as a dramatic story on a grand scale.  By trying to wrestle the pen from God so that we can write our own story, we take ourselves out of the lead role in our own lives that God has for us.  We discover an all too familiar C.O.R.D. that must be cut if we are to assume our intended role; a heart of Cynicism, a lack of Ownership (procrastination), ashamed of Reputation (fear of what others will think), and an attitude of Defeat. 04.15.07 (video iPod friendly)

In this exploration into the value of self sacrifice, we see that the pathway of true love is paved with the pain of letting go. God has something better for us around the corner that we can't see yet, but we have to let go of what we're too happy to control right now. We discover that letting go is a constant process that makes room for growth in our lives when we give it up to God and make a trade. In this last installment of the Deeper In and Farther On series, we see that coming to Christ by grace is not the same thing as earning a ticket into heaven by jumping through hoops.
