Now that the 40 Days of Purpose are over and we know that we're here for a reason, what's next? Last night I shared out of 1 Peter and God has called all of us, young and old, to clothe ourselves in humility. Pastor Steve approached me afterward and told me he was preaching out of the same passage to the Baptist church this weekend! How's that for confirmation. We know God has called us to unity, but most of us think it's just going to happen automatically or that it's not that high of a priority. As it turns out God moves in an atmosphere created in unity through humility. This weekend we will look at the five ways to stay one! (video iPod friendly)

It is hard to believe that we have come to the end of the 40 Days of Purpose. We have been planned for God's pleasure (worship), formed for God's family (fellowship), created to become like Christ (discipleship), shaped to serve God (ministry), and made for a mission (evangelism). What we will find this weekend through testimonies, photos, and vision is that these last 40 Days were spiritual preparation for the days ahead. Even as this campaign is ending I will be announcing the beginning of a whole new season for this church plant as we move towards our Two Year Anniversary on October 1st! I pray that everyone will take what they have learned over these past days and live it out, pass it on, and make it real in the days to come.
